statutory declaration

"statutory declaration" means a declaration under the Statutory Declaration Act, 1960.

2. Interpretation.

statutory declaration

"statutory declaration" if made- (a) in the Federation, means a declaration made by virtue of the provisions of any written law providing for such declarations; (b) in the United Kingdom or any British possession means a declaration made before a justice of the peace, notary public or other person having authority therein under any law for the time being in force to take or receive a declaration; (c) in any other place means a declaration made before a consular officer of the Federation or before any person having authority under any Ordinance or Act of Parliament for the time being in force to take or receive a declaration;

66. DEFINITIONs.

statutory declaration

"statutory declaration" means a statutory declaration made in pursuance of any written law providing for the making of statutory declarations or, if made in a place outside Malaysia- (a) a declaration made before a Malaysian diplomatic or consular officer; or (b) a declaration made under any law in force in that place providing for the making of declarations which are substantially similar in nature and effect to the statutory declarations provided for by any such written law;
